Again, if you're just using for a single monitor, it works fine, it only sleeps as a secondary.
This is not bad for the price, but for 4$ extra you can get a better one.
This product is working great.
The main problem is that sometimes when booting up my pc the vga monitor, which has the adapter on the cable, doesn't always turn on.
No fixes from restarts as of now).So if you don't mind turning off your computer and turning back on a couple times every once in a while then this product will work.
I have an older Hanns.G HE195 VGA monitor that I wanted to get working..I've got a DVI-D and a DVI-I port on my graphics card (Radeon HD 7950).. My regular DVI monitor works just fine, has worked just fine forever.. Well I wanted to setup this VGA as a 2nd monitor, but unfortunately, no matter what I try I can't get it to detect..
I've tried both ports, tried rebooting, tried detecting the monitor, nothing..So while I see it's somehow been working as a 2nd monitor display for a lot of people, it obviously doesn't work for every monitor..Now after shipping and handling I'm out close to $20..
(BTW it doesn't come with a micro USB as advertised, I had to scrape up a couple of my own to try out.
The second monitor wouldn't come back after powering the computer off and then turning it back on.Every time I had to futz with it for 15 minutes to get it to work.
That was OK until we had a power outage and I couldn't get the display to come back.I found my video card and both monitors have HDMI ports so I bought a 10 foot HDMI cable to connect the second monitor.
