Found this neat game actually as a result of being given a "heads-up" from our daughter-in-law that our closing-in-on-9 year old grandson had been interested in a different game from ThinkFun - ended up checking out their site and found just so MANY different types of games for various age brackets that are terrific for exercising the old (or young, as the case may be) noggin!
She called the day after Mother's Day to tell me she was up until 1:00 a.m. playing this game, so I'd say it was a hit!Introduced in 2008, the game combines a polyomino (a plane geometric figure formed by joining one or more equal squares edge to edge) and a word search - it's a one-player game with 80 "challenges" of various levels of difficulty and includes a handy spiral-bound booklet that contains the challenges along with a game grid and eight colored pieces.
It is also fun for both adults in the family!
The reasons I am only giving four stars are the price, I think $20 is steep for a spiral bound book and 8 plastic shapes, and I also find some of the words to be too obscure for kids 8 plus.
I bought this game for me.
