The power cable would not reach to the connector on the motherboard, I had to buy a longer motherboard cable to solve this.
Bought this for my Silverstone SG 12 case for a small form factor Power supply and worked nicely :).
There's not much to say other than it does its job as advertised, but I have only used this in one build so far.
Keep in mind the orientation of the adapter and the PSU before installation.
This makes it fit in a standard case.
The fan starts making noises and then after a short time the thing stops working and the PC shuts off randomly. This is not a heavy use PC so it is not on all the time so it is frustrating to say the least.
The biggest issue with these idle fans off units is that the fan will only turn on with a high enough wattage pull and not from heat. The small ITX Silverstone case I use with this unit seems to not allow enough air flow for this unit during idle which results in this power supply randomly shutting off to protect from heat.
This means leaving a game or benchmark set to render scenes while I simply check my email so as to force the PSU fan to stay on and cool.Although, I have had numerous moments where I would stop rendering in the background and the idle temps in the case would be waaaay to high and the PSU would instantly shut off as the case slowly cools down but the fan had already come to a dead stop because of the lack of wattage request.Buy, but use GREAT air flow, or else.
Just ordered a replacement.2nd update: Replacement is working good, however, I just realized the first defective one is used.
It suppose not to have SATA data cables, it came with two CPU power cable, and whole packaging is different.I mean defective product is fine.
