I like the compact design after using the keyboard on my laptop for so many years, and especially the keys on it that are larger, flatter, and much more like the one on the actually lap top that I was so used too.
As for it being a plug in, with the set up I have here that isn't any problem since the cord on it just falls behind the table and never in the way.
The short length of this keyboard makes it so i can keep it closer to the center, but its not so close to my mouse that the keyboard takes up much needed mouse space.
I just received and set this keyboard up, it is very nice...keys are "normal" size but without the side number pad which is perfect for me working at home and on the computer 8-10 hours a day.
I was having shoulder/arm problems due to my desk set up and the longer keyboard I was using causing me to have to extend my arm too much, this keyboard allows me to move my mouse closer to my body and seems to solve the problem.
It feels very cheaply made and clunky, and the keys rattle a lot when using it.
Overall I find it among the least pleasant keyboards I have used. From all the positive reviews I was expecting better.I would return it, but with the shipping charges I would get very little back.
And if you plan to use this with a MacBook laptop, be warned that your computer may not be able to identify the keyboard, so many functions are useless.
The connectivity on this device is not good I would spend like 50 more bucks to get one that will a.
The function keys are reversed and the keys stick!
