I put it on my dresser so all it takes is a tap to illuminate the room if I need to find something near my bed or get up to use the washroom.About the actual mechanism of the light; you tap on the bottom of the light and a weight mechanism in the light moves with a satisfying *click* sound and turns on.
You can either have the light turned off by placing the switch in the middle, or chose between a low or high setting for the LED's.
Absolutely beautiful, it looks amazing, of course when I first got it, it was a little messed up, the battery was not in its proper socket, so you could see its shadow when you turned it on, but after opening it up, placing the battery back and popping the cover on properly, it looks amazing.
It’s the perfect amount of light and I love that you can charge it.
I bought this for while we have a newborn in our room for a night light (nught feedings and changes) it works great.
Purchased two lights, first one never worked properly, second one worked great for 3 months.
Initial purchase wouldn't work unless plugged in (didn't hold a charge).
I never actually returned the initial unit, so that's on me.
Neat product in theory, very mixed (and ultimately poor) results in actuality.
Looks cheap and kinda ugly (no offense) but 15 yr old loves it.
