And it has taken me a while to determine what the problem was and how to resolve it.
A little DVI-I to VGA connector worked great, but I needed to connect to the DVI-D.
The build quality is decent and I anticipate getting pretty good mileage out of this adapter. This adapter was purchased at a discounted price for my honest and unbiased review.
This is a great adapter!
I did receive it at a slight discount in return for an honest review, but as happy as I am with it, I would have paid full price all the same.
I have to unplug it and replug it several times for it to work.
If yours dies after 1 day, you probably just need to plug it in usb wise.Taking off a star because that is really weird.Edit/update: The adapter is dead after a few months of use.
Do not waste any money on this HDMI switcher, its the cheapest one for a reason, and that reason is that it completely sucks.
I would understand if maybe one of the ports was bad, but 4 out of the 5 ports didn't function other than turning any signal in to a broken up, jumbled mess of white noise and flashing colors and a very occasional gimps of whatever is supplying the source material.
