What are fans saying?
This is that.
I bought this can of ground beef awhile ago and today I was craving tacos but did not have any fresh beef and I am disabled so I have my groceries delivered but there is a $35 min (I had everything else needed) so I decided to try this out.
No longer a good value.Original review:Excellent product and a good value at $6.28 for a 28-oz can.
There is liquid and fat in the can, so it’s not pretty when opened but the meat is wonderful in recipes like chili and spaghetti sauce.
However I was pleasantly surprised to find the meat in good condition, meat separated from the fat, but otherwise still smelling good and tasting great.
What are haters saying?
I browned it and drained the greasy liquid (this was after refrigerating it overnight to harden the fat and make it easier to remove).
I re-fried it in a pan to try and see if I could make this better and it did not work.
It had a lot of juice and fat but did not taste good smelled like dog food, I am sorry but it did, if it was the end of the world I could still not eat this.
When you open the can there is a lot of gelled fat with it and it has kind of a pinkish hue.
The smell is like what you would smell when you open a can of cat food and it has the consistency of that no matter what you do with it whether you cook it all day in a sauce or try to hide it in someway you still have that soft gooey consistency of cat food.
