As others have posted, it can be a little difficult to remove but I can do it with a fingernail and I would think that you would rarely need to remove it if it is being used as supplemental storage drive.
It is NOT easy to get out, but if you're leaving it in as permanent storage, it's perfect.
Note that if you're buying this for bigger laptops like the Dell XPS 15 9550 (like I did), you'll need to find a way to make a pull tab on the adapter - the adapter itself goes deeper into the slot and doesn't stick out at all.
Not flush on my Surface Book 2, but I expected it would stick out a little based on the measurements.
Point #2 can be good or bad in different situation. So the fact is that once it is inserted in the card slot, then you can't take it out without opening the whole back panel of the laptop itself (this is about HP stream 11 - may not be applicable for other laptops).
It works as it should on my DELL XPS 13.
It works but it's too short for a Dell XPS 15 (I almost couldn't get it out again) and too long for an Apple MacBook Pro (late 2013).
I thought at first it might have been the card, but using the standard SD card carrier I got with the card works fine.
For reference, it's a 200GB card if that matters.Very, very disappointed as I might have received a dud :(.
Also each time I insert it in my PC I get an error message stating that there's a problem and that I should scan the card to fix it.
