This bassinet is really nice quality I wish my baby would have liked it.
Pros--Amazing swivel feature, so baby can be next to you at bedside but then you are able to swivel away without moving base to get out of bed yourself.-Swivel feature comes in handy to rock bassinest back and forth to soothe baby-Side of bassinest that dips down to pick up baby is a must have if you have a C-section to minimize moving out of bed and over reaching.-adjustable height so baby can be at eye level no matter how tall your bed is- see thru sides, so you can see baby and baby can breathe if they get mushed up against the side-durable fabric that is able to be spot cleaned-side pockets to stash pacifiers, wipes, burp cloths, etc-Dock a tot fits perfectly inside-Luxe model has little night light and music to help see baby and soothe baby (although mine stopped working after a while, it was nice while it lasted)Cons-large footprint with base-mattress thinness, mesh around the sides and peanut shape of bassinet combo creates an inability to put a wedge under mattress to incline baby if baby suffers from reflux-price.
You still have to sit up so it was not as beneficial as I thought it would be for myself since I had a c-section.There is no way to tilt the bassinet so if you end up having a baby with reflux is will be useless.
We ended up buying another simple bassinet to use in the living room.My baby did not appreciate any of the settings on the bassinet, not even the vibrate function could make up for that thin, hard mattress but the batteries still died after about a month of infrequent use.In all for the price I think there are much cheaper options that most babies would appreciate more and I regret buying this.
Being a first time parent, you never know what to get or what’s best for baby so you go with your gut after researching a million products. My baby initially didn’t like to sleep in the halo bassinet, I feel like for her something about how much open space there is woke her up randomly (no she didnt like the swaddle) As we got her used to it, the vibrating feature helped a lot but it doesn’t stay on all night which sucks cause she would wake up and it also runs through batteries like there’s no tomorrow!
I think the sounds and vibrations are very useful so if your heart is set on this bassinet I would recommend upgrading over the basic version.
Unfortunately, when we brought baby home, her weight in the bassinet somehow affected the batteries in the soothing center so when the vibration feature turned on the batteries would move and then it would not work.
Because I've had it for more than 30 days, it can not be returning/exchanged.
I was excited for this bassinet since we have a very tall bed and I wanted something that would let me see the baby.
The swivel works well, and conveniently moves baby close at night, but allows you to smoothly move away when exiting bed.I subtract one star because there is no way to arrange the item so that at least one of the huge metal legs isn't a tripping hazard.
