But It is now hooked up to a couple monitors and keyboard and mouse and I can plunk in the laptop and voila!
This product is just as described and has been working great.
I've been using this dock for a few weeks now with no problems.
There are two models of this thing, one with a 130-watt power supply and other with 200.
So, even though I have this very same port replicator, I have to plug some of my devices into the replicator and some of them into my laptop, because it simply does not have enough of power to support all the ports and all the functions in the Port Replicator.
My last computer was an HP where the docking station was under the machine and very sturdy.
They have these at work; the PS/2 (keyboard) port doesn't work, and the eSATAp port is not capable of driving desktop hard drives.Other than that, they work well, I think.
Unsure at this time of compatibility as several of the Dell model numbers are same hardware.
