I used it for a boot/app drive on a recent build I did and I have no complaints on it.
I've bought several brands of RAM and this is what I've settled on for trouble-free and reliable and being right for the computer it's in.
This is my boot drive and I have Windows 10 installed.
This was recommended from the reviews of the laptop I purchased and it is a solid purchase as now my boot up time is within seconds compared to the time before.
Drive is easy to install, and I had no problems installing Windows on it.
Will not show up on my computer.
I performed a windows update and when I tried to turn my computer back on it would not load windows at all.
Not sure if I got a bad one or if something wasn't compatible, but I had to return it.
The drive might work just fine if you know 100% that this type of SSD will work with your motherboard.I could not get this M.2 drive to work in two of my computers.
The Strix supports M.2_2 but apparently this one is an "m.2 sata drive", apparently there is a difference.Yeah this review is not for this product in particular, but I hope if you are reading this and have a motherboard that accepts an M.2 socket - please check some forums to see how this one fairs with your board.
