What are fans saying?
Plugged it in and it worked.
Perfect for my iMac 27'' late 2015.Easy to install.
Quite easy to install and no any problem with my 418Play.I recommend it if you want to upgrade ram for Synology NAS, it is too expansive for the official RAM.
Purchased this ram as most comments mentioned Crucial as preferred for reliability in Synology products.I have NAS DS718+ and added 8gb of ram into the free/secondary RAM slot , bringing my total ram up to 10GB of storage (with the included primary slot ram of 2GB)Besides the hassle of the placement of the RAM slot inside the NAS the installation was simple enough to plug and play and my disk station now utilizes the memory properly when running VM's or multiple streams and applications at once.
This works great for extending the memory in my Synology NAS.
What are haters saying?
NOT Compatible with Synology Diskstation even though it says it is.
Installed two 8GB Crucial about a year ago.
Began to notice memory leaks, which continued to get worse until I took my 27" iMac (Late 2015) into Apple for diagnostics.
They tested several possibilities including replacing the Crucial ram.
Their results identified the two Crucial rams as the cause of my memory leaks, unfortunately I am past the 30 day return window.
