I have always preferred windshield or cd mounts, as putting it in front of the vents makes the phone very hot or cold, and doesn't seem to hold as well.
I can use this for my garmin as well, but have yet to, but it weighs much less than my iphone does, so I'm sure there will not be any issues. We live in a time where we don't listen to CD's anymore, so this has made it useful again!
This is the only acceptable mount I found for the Garmin that wouldn't be a distraction while driving or become problematic in other ways.I also love that you can choose to mount above or below the CD player depending on how it affects your layout.
The Drive 60 looks great mounted to the dash.
It is just with this one, there was no way to get the GPS to mount the arm up high and the thumbscrew up high too, so the thumbscrew needed to be down below and it blocked my radio/backup camera screen.
It slips into the CD slot easily enough but the the knob cannot be turned to tighten it in place.
To see my camera I need to turn it upside.
Does not stick out enough.
It's easy to slide it into the CD slot, however it's hard to clip on the gps device, it looks the clip a little bit not too fit to the gps device.
Another thing is the screen is facing a little upward, it can't be move down further because of the screw in a way, but it does work on the reverse position, just that the gps screen blocks the view of my car's cd player screen.
