Is great because it gets my cords off the floor and as well as being an improvement over the "lame" one I had, it also gives me a place to charge all my devices (all at the same time) if I want.
This is one cool APC 6 Outlet surge protector and it is very long so I am glad I found it on here and for the price is Affordable.
This is a great value for a surge protector from APC.
I purchased two of these, one of them has had a high pitched whine since day one (it has to be periodically powered off for a while then turned back on for it to go away - but it will come back).
So, tonight I planned to plug the power strip into another outlet to test it... but before I could do that, I turned the lamp plugged into the power strip on so I could see behind the bed to unplug the power strip from the wall, and the light bulb in the lamp started crackling.
To be fair, I have had one other surge protector with flickering LEDs, and it was not an APC brand.
The thing is, I can't trust that to always be the case, so I threw it out and replaced it with Tripp Lite 10 Outlet Surge Protector Power Strip Tel/Modem 8ft Cord 2395 Joules (TLP1008TEL).
The power strip i received looked great, BUT a serious concern was the dept of the strip, none of the plug was about to push in flush with the surface of the power strip, this result in the exposed prongs of my power cords no matter if its two or three(ground) and these are standard cord such as lamp, pc cable, playstation, and TV.
If the outlet has a grounding pin situated on the right, the plug will only insert with the cord feeding upwards.
In under a year of using this, a lightening storm caused a failure to our "connected equipment" using this company's surge protector.
