Things You Should Know

If you have some exposure to garden pots or related types of products, you might already know what some of the words mean. But we don't want to assume that you know and make you struggle while reading product descriptions. Here are the 5 words you need to know:

  • Succulent plant (Succulent): In botany, succulent plants, also known as succulents, are plants with parts that are thickened, fleshy, and engorged, usually to retain water in arid climates or soil conditions. The word succulent comes from the Latin word sucus, meaning 'juice', or 'sap'.
  • Ceramic: A ceramic is any of the various hard, brittle, heat-resistant and corrosion-resistant materials made by shaping and then firing a nonmetallic mineral, such as clay, at a high temperature. Common examples are earthenware, porcelain, and brick.
  • Cactus: A cactus is a member of the plant family Cactaceae, a family comprising about 127 genera with some 1750 known species of the order Caryophyllales. The word "cactus" derives, through Latin, from the Ancient Greek κάκτος, kaktos, a name originally used by Theophrastus for a spiny plant whose identity is now not certain.
  • SMALL: Small Machine Algol Like Language, is a computer programming language developed by Dr. Nevil Brownlee of the University of Auckland.
  • Plastic: Plastics are a wide range of synthetic or semi-synthetic organic compounds that are malleable and so can be molded into solid objects.

Appropriate Price Range

Garden pots are normally priced in the range of$6.39 - $29.99 per item. So if a garden pot's price is outside of this range, you should question if the product is actually sold, or the price is worth it.
